Room 1
Understanding the (Mis)anthropocene

The Anthropocene is a geological thought experiment that looks back from a post apocalypse future that collapses the future into the past. Accepting that the future disaster is inevitable and mourning the lost future is part of the Anthropocene.

This speculative geological identification is taking place in the future absence of geologists in a post human geology. A story of loss sedimented into strata yet to be deposited in these terrestrial futures. The loss of all human stories unrecognisable in the evidence that is speculated upon in a past that is unknowable in the consequences of the unrealisable future.
